The final design for the much needed facelift of my website went through many transitions. You can flick through them here and see how I came to from the initial idea, to what you see now. There is a huge difference to say the least.
This is how the design started. In the header I had the idea of having Flash based roll-over silhouettes from photos as I grew up and a very subtle colour scheme. But I decided it just wasn´t doing it for me so I kept at it.
You can see it changing towards the final design with the transparent white background for the text to sit on, along with the tabbed style menu. Also, you can see the logo starting to take form. One thing I decided not to follow up was the quotes from my favourite Stone Roses songs. I decided that I would just be adding Flash for the sake of adding Flash, and that is no reason to it.
Almost the final design apart from the background colour. I decided to go for a more subtle gradient colour so the actual main design stands out more, and gives the impression of more depth as well. You might notice that the final design is also a lot shorter. I really had to compress the unused space so that the template would work on a 1024x768px resolution screen.
Flash & ActionScript
I made this at university. It was the first time I had ever used Flash. The choice of stories was to raise drug awareness issues.

I made this poster for a busy bar in Dundee city centre to promote a DJ night.
whilst at university, we created a short animation mixing the old fashioned Stingray and Thunderbird genre but gave it a modern twist using popular teen horror films at the time. I created this poster for that project.
At college we were asked to design and create a brochure to be used in a museum down south that focused on the Holocaust. I used recycled paper and stitched the brochure together to give it a textured, old fashioned look & feel.
Introduction spread of the brochure of the Holocaust brochure.
Persecution & Evidence spread of the Holocaust brochure.
Witnesses & Conclusion spread of the Holocaust brochure.
Whilst at college, I worked in the cinema part-time and that´s where I came up with the idea to design a magazine that could be used to promote a special "Mafia Week" film extravaganza for my final project.
I created 6 inside spreads but have only included the Scarface one.
A poster to accompany the magazine.
Another project I did at college. We were asked to design a brochure that would promote a Hitchcock season at the DCA.
