This website conforms to W3C-WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 and is WGAC 1.0 WAI-AAA compliant. However, I disagree with one of the guidelines the W3C about opening new websites in new browser windows. I think that if the link is to an external website, in no relation to the one you are browsing, then the new website should open in a new browser window. It seems I´m not the only one with this opinion as I see more and more websites with external link icons on links to an external website.
Having said that, there aren´t any links that will open a new browser window on this website.
Accessibility is a big issue nowadays and I take great care in making the websites I design and build as accessible as possible. This page describes some techniques used to aid accessibility, appropriate access-keys and general accessibility information.
First and foremost, this website successfully validates against XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.1 W3C requirements.
All images have been optimised for the web, reducing loading times so it is possible for users without broadband to find navigating through the website a pleasant experience.
I have designed an automatically generated breadcrumb trail so that you have a clear linked path back to where you started no matter how deep you delve into my website.
This website has been tested on the following browsers to make sure it works on old and new technology:
The following access-keys have been assigned to the following pages:
To use access-keys you need to do the following:
Hold down the ALT key, press the number or letter of the access-key, release both keys then press ENTER
Hold down the ALT + SHIFT key and press the number or letter of the access-key
Hold down the CTRL key and press the number or letter of the access-key
Hold down the CTRL key and press the number or letter of the access-key
At time of publishing these access-key commands were correct. Updates to browsers may change these commands. Unfortunately, this is beyond my control. If you require any help, or have any questions regarding the accessibility of this website, then please contact me by clicking here.
